Shivangi Sarkar
Ph.D. Candidate in Economics, Clemson University
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the John E. Walker Department of Economics at Clemson University, on the 2026–2027 academic job market.
My research lies at the intersection of health economics, development economics, and applied microeconomics. I study whether public policies improve health and human capital outcomes for disadvantaged populations, especially women and children who are harder to reach because of poverty, distance, limited information, or weak access to services.
My job market paper is titled "Maternal Healthcare Incentives and Childhood Vaccination: Evidence from India." You can read it [here].
See my CV, Research, and Teaching pages for additional details.
