Scaled Vehicle Formation Testbed with UWB/5G SLAM

Equipping fleets of vehicles (on-road, off-road, and on the shop floor) with enhanced localization promises many positive impacts – reducing accidents, energy, consumption, congestion, and increasing efficiency - but needs verification. Hence we are pursuing an enhanced SLAM-3D framework capable of real-time deployment with performance guarantees (stability, robustness, safety and graceful degradation) utilizing UWB/5G-enabled micro-positioning (cm-level accuracy) technology.
