Ph.D. Student
I am a 3rd year Ph.D. student in the Rice lab. My research is centered around correlating in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo immunotoxicology using new alternative methods (NAMs) for fish in the context of the NIEHS view of One Health. The goal is to provide an ethical and economical means to screen the hundreds of thousands of anthropogenic chemicals in the environment as well as identify key mechanism(s) of action to predictive outcomes in organisms, populations, communities, and ecosystems.
Ph.D. Student
I’m interested in studying chemicals in our environment and determining their potential impact on human health and the environment. My project in the Bain lab focuses on chemicals in our water and how they affect specific stages in embryo development in zebrafish. Human induced pluripotent stem cells are also utilized as an in vitro model. In my free time I like hiking, traveling, hanging out with my pets and crafting!
