About OUr Assistant Director Position
Assistant Director for Residential Living
The Assistant Director for Residential Living is a full time staff member within the Department of Residential
Living. Provides overall leadership, supervision, and management of a residential area. Serves as a primary
facilitator in the development and implementation of residentially-based curriculum. Collaborates with
academic and campus partners, as well as internal and external campus partners, to enhance strategic
partnerships and strategic plan objectives. Other duties as assigned.
A master's degree in college student personnel, counseling or a related field is preferred. We are seeking applicants who have an understanding of student development and applicable experiences that would allow them to serve as educators in a residential environment. This requires a willingness to learn, ability to be adaptable, capacity for critical thinking, and knowledge of needs and trends within higher education. Supervision is provided by an Associate Director for Residential Living. A great deal of autonomy is expected of this position and the employee must be self-motivated and able to work independently within the established position description and training provided.
