About Shoji Lab.

Lasers are essential devices in the optoelectronics society in the 21st century, so researches on the development of new lasers and laser applications are going on to more enrich our lives.

The goal of our lab is to develop high-performance and user-friendly new laser devices by establishing first-ever technologies and unique techniques. Then we are working on the following research projects which include both fundamentals and applications by collaborating with universities, institutes, and companies.

  1. Characterization of Optical Properties of Laser Materials: accurate measurements of refractive indices, electro-optic coefficients, and nonlinear-optical coefficients of newly developed laser and wavelength-conversion materials.

  2. Development of High-performance New Lasers and Wavelength-conversion Devices

  3. Development of New Applications of Laser Technologies

For details of our research projects, please see here.
