ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

This website has supplementary resources for the Resources for Learning about Global Issues & ICR Resources websites. 

Completely updated in September 2026, the website provides resources for each of the 30 global-local issues listed below. Taking a social justice perspective, each webpage is divided into three main parts:

• Overview: A short introduction to each issue written in easy-to-understand and accessible English

• Resources: Selected webpages and articles in Japanese and English, as well as short videos in English, for multimedia research

• Inquiry: Clear prompts to help you focus your interest and begin your own inquiry.

How to use this website:

• Use the Overview to develop your foundational understanding and talk about an issue in easy-to-understand English.

• Use the Resources to deepen your understanding by reading articles, watching videos, and taking notes.

• Use the Inquiry section to focus your interest and start to organise your research.
