Hi! We are the BRAINSTORMERS #1087 of Bayport Blue Point. We are a FIRST Lego League team from James Wilson Young Middle School.We love working together as a team and making a difference in our world.
This year we were named 1st Place Core Values winners at the FLL Long Island Championship held on March 9, 2025!
As a result were invited to compete at the Florida Sunshine Invitational to be held at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach from June 24-28!
Chomper is version 2.0 of last year's Chopper. We made several improvements in our robot game which we share on our robot tab. Chomper scores over 400 points on the current field.
For our innovation this year we created a children's book to teach kids underwater diving hand signals. There wasn't an easy first step for kids starting their diving journey. It is published and in our local school libraries. More details on the book tab.
We believe that having a positive impact on our community is a very important part of our role as an FLL team and in our everyday lives. Check out what we have accomplished so far this year!
