With background knowledge in Microsoft Visual Basic during Grade 10 days in junior high school, this programming application was utilized in formulating an outcomes-based education (OBE) project in advanced engineering mathematics (ChE 405) where every student is required to create a solver that is inclined with some of the applications in chemical engineering (such as ChE calculations, thermodynamics, momentum transfer, heat and mass transfer, plant design, and others). From the image, the longest formulas of Benedict-Webb-Rubin equation of state (EoS) and Beattie-Bridgeman EoS were utilized in a solver to easily calculate the pressure with the use of experimentally determined constants.
