My SEL Classroom

It is my goal to prioritize Social Emotional Learning and to create a safe and healthy learning environment that is also conducive to learning.

Lets just forget about what I expect of you. That is pretty clear by now. Lets talk about what you need to expect from me and hold me to.

My commitment to ALL of you.

• I will actively engage in learning activities that are relevant to you.

• I will help you develop the skills necessary to reach positive life goals. Not just academic goals.

• I will do my best to make you feel safe. I will also academically challenge you.

• I will get to know you as much as you will let me.

• I will create a team environment. You are an equal and valued member of this team. You are one of my MATH MASTERS.

My offer to you. I will be checking in with each of you from time to time. Please keep the following things in mind:

• If you are having difficulties in class (or even if you are not) please email me or ask me in person once we are back in school and I will set up a one on one zoom meeting. It may be about your grades, feeling isolated in class, or maybe anxiety about something that is going on, etc.

• Please complete the Student Questionnaire on the class website. It is one of the links at the top of the page. It is one of the best way I have to get to know you. For you skeptics out there, no, I am not required to post this form. I really do want to get to know you.
