TSIA 2

The TSI is a college entrance exam which determines the appropriate level of college course work for an incoming student. There are three separate exams: Mathematics, Reading and Writing. TSI or an equivalent is required for every student planning on attending a college/university in Texas. Many students take the TSI early in the high school career in pursuit of Dual Credit courses. Other students have their TSI exam waived due to acceptable SAT or ACT exam scores.

You can sign up for the TSIA2 using the QR code outside the counseling office. 

ACT

The ACT is a college entrance exam that covers four academic skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning with an optional direct writing test. Click the buttons below for more information. 


SAT

The SAT  is a college entrance exam with four sections: Reading, Writing and Language, Math (no calculator), and Math (calculator allowed) with an optional essay section. Click the buttons below for more information. 


SAT or ACT, which exam should I take?

There is lots of debate about whether a student should take the SAT, the ACT or both! You'll have to consider the aspects of each exam to decide.
