為因應國家新南向計畫，舉行「臺灣－菲律賓合作交流工作坊」以拓展臺灣國際學術影響力，使臺灣成為東南亞國家學術交流之重要平台，促進「人才交流」與「資源共享」，創造並激發新的研究火花，加強並擴大我國各大專院校與南向國家各層級大學之交流與合作，提升我國各大專院校在南向國家之知名度及競爭力，並強化我國各校高等教育國際化之深度、廣度與版圖。

In response to New South Bound Policy announced by Taiwan Authority, Taiwan-Philippines Joint Workshop is hosted by National Sun Yat-Sen University with 4 partner universities, including National Tsing Hua University, National Chung Cheng University, National Chung Hsing University, and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, to establish a forum between Taiwan and Philippines academia. The workshop is the first bed stone to achieve research exchange and resources sharing for both countries. Future collaboration among universities and colleges of Taiwan and Philippines is highly expected to be sparkled so that not only will the international visibility and competitiveness of all participants be elevated, all-around cooperative relationship will also be established.
