The GAC Cup was established in the fall of 2024. Coaches were looking for a better way to get competitive games, new opponents, and a meaningful championship for our conference. Thus, the GAC Cup was born. The first edition featured a two-leg tie to qualify for the semi-finals and subsequently the championship game. Following coach feedback, a pool-play-style tournament was developed for the spring of 2025. After realizing the logistical challenges of scheduling games mid-season, the GAC moved to a qualification-based weekend tournament where just the three division winners and the next best team from the south or central will qualify for a knockout-style tournament. Friday night semi-final and Saturday championship. This format will go into effect in the fall of 2026.
