About FWSU All Learners Universal Frameworks


In FWSU we believe that understanding ourselves, our biases, and our privilege can enhance the effectiveness of our Multi-tiered Systems of Support and Universal Frameworks in promoting excellence through equity for All Learners. Towards those ends, we have expanded the philosophy of John Tapper's All Learners Can Learn Math, and have created a set of flexible "universal" frameworks in curriculum, instruction, and assessment that provide an inclusive approach to addressing the learning needs of ALL LEARNERS in all content areas. The frameworks are described as "universal" because they facilitate the universal design of learning, they are the foundation for universal best first instruction, and they are universally implemented across settings and schools. Our goal is to ensure that ALL LEARNERS can make progress in proficiency along a continuum of high leverage concepts and skills -- in all content areas.
