STEM:

I am applying for distinction in STEM because I thoroughly enjoy both Science and Math and have taken many classes and participated in activities that prove that. Additionally, after high school I am going into a STEM-related career.

I am applying for distinction in Leadership because being a leader is a huge part of who I am. I have had multiple leadership positions and I find much joy and satisfaction in guiding others. I believe having a good role model is very important, so I have worked very hard to be that person for many other people.

Career Readiness:

I am applying for distinction in Career Readiness because I have been shadowing (and am continuing to shadow) nurses at Northwest Medical Center in St. Albans. I am shadowing in as many departments as possible in hopes to get a better understanding of what type of nurse I'd like to be, and to learn more about the hospital setting in general.
