This year, all three of the Senior Kindergarten embarked on a year long study of the fungus that lives all around us. sk Talking mushrooms
Here's a fun project that SK did with during their time in Library. Click here to hear SK'ers talking about some of their favorite mushrooms.
SK students took pictures of the mushroom they liked the best and then used the app Chatterpix to create talking mushrooms! They recorded their voices to share what they like about the mushrooms.
SK mushroom hats
SK students made their own mushroom caps! They decorated and colored the hats. Net, using the green screens in the library they picked a picture of the habitat where their mushroom would grow! Click here to check out the photos.

The SK students learned about all of the mushrooms in the world and then went on a hunt for mushrooms all around the library. They also did a gallery walk and looked at pictures of some of the most unusual mushrooms in the world and marked the ones they liked with smiley faces and the ones they did not like with frowning faces.
