My Capstone senior research project dives into the history of the school uniform. By looking at where the school uniform began, and how it built up from there, I have also created a new design for a uniform for girls at my school. The goal of my project is to educate others on the history of the school uniform, and also create a new one that is well-liked, while also accounting for comfort and style.Â
About Me!
Hi! My name is Emily Davis, and I am a senior at Fort Worth Country Day. My capstone focuses on the history and design of school uniforms. I chose this topic because I am interested in fashion and apparel design, and I will be majoring in fashion merchandising at Texas Chrisitian University next year. For this project, I researched to the very beginning of school uniforms and studied the evolution of them to create my design for the new FWCD girls uniform that I have developed. I have learned so much about the history and design process of school uniforms through my capstone, and I am excited to share!
