The Global Scholars Diploma Program is an 18 month commitment that requires:
GSD Application: Teacher/Advisor Recommendations, Interview
Week of cultural immersion
2 semesters: Honors Research Methodologies, Capstone
Campus/community leadership positions and/or Unity Day, Earth Day workshop leadership
Lectures, events, Community Activism
Fall semester:
Attend Global events and lectures
Talk with current GSD students, faculty about possibilities for projects
Solicit support from Advisor, faculty members
Be active, engaged member of FVS community
Be academically strong student in challenging classes

Spring semester:
Complete GSD application, including interview and teacher/advisor recommendations
Attend campus/off campus events
Be active, engaged member of FVS community
Complete cultural immersion (Interim)
Attend GSD presentations in May
Fall semester:
Write reflections on completed GSD requirements (Leadership, Classes, Events/Lectures)
Excel in Honors Research Methodologies class (do college-level research)
Dissect "global citizenship" and globalization through scholarly studies
Define driving question(s), specifics of project, points of complexity
Attend 2 research half-days off campus (UCSS)
Complete 3/4 of Annotated Bibliography
Research/project audit at end fall semester
