Specific coursework is very important to the Global Scholars Diploma Program. The four years you spend at Fountain Valley build to teach you how to pursue a global perspective. One of (if not the) most important way the schools helps to create global citizens is through the coursework each student takes throughout their Fountain Valley education. Each GSD student was asked to reflect on four separate classes and how each class helped them become a global student. Under this section are my two reflections. Both reflections informed my understanding of my project and the global dynamics seen presently. I took many classes that allowed me to broaden my understanding of global dynamics, crises, and relationships. Within every class I took (whether that be science, history, English, or math) there was always a globally relevant component implemented into the curriculum.Â
