1. International mindedness
2. Futuraskolan traditions
3. Cultural manifestations
4. Leadership workshops
5. Sustainable development projects (UN SDGs, IMYC, Lgr11)
6. Fundraising activities
7. Further developing on local/national and international communications
volunteering locally/nationally
“pen-pals”, Skype, Google Meet, etc.
8. Preparations towards international engagements (travels, language exchange)
In art the students have made sketches of sustainable communities and buildings, reflecting on how we can face to the problems we are facing with creative and innovative infrastructure and architectural solutions. The students then took their designs and used them to make 3-dimensional models using clay.
Our two Global Citizenship Student Leaders who initiated our feminine hygiene drive hand over donations to a representative of Crossroads, Stockholms Stadsmission.
One of our students writes:
On Monday 7th of June, our GCP Student Leaders Club celebrated their last lunch meeting of the year, including a special visitor. Olivia, from Crossroads, Stockholms Stadsmission, told us about the work her agency does to help EU migrants establish themselves in Sweden, and received the collected donations from our women's hygiene drive. “This is amazing,” she told us, surprised by the number of items she received. “You don’t even realize how necessary and helpful such basic products are for these people.” The GCP Club is planning on developing further partnerships with the Crossroads organization in order to help more people in need.
Eight students from Futuraskolan International Bergtorp just came back to Sweden after spending a week in Italy connecting with their project partners from Italy, Greenland and France.
This journey is part of our Bergtorp students’ Erasmus + project; Cliff Hanger. They visited many museums and monuments connected to culture heritage and sustainable food -all important parts of the project’s theme and goals.
