FIRST DAY ONLY INSTRUCTION:
For the first day of school (only to help students locate their classrooms), third graders will line up at the basketball courts. Look for a chair marked with the teacher's name and room number, and line up behind the chair. Third grade teachers will pick up their classes from the blacktop/upper playground (basketball courts) and guide students to the classrooms. Parents of third graders will exit the campus at this time. (4th and 5th grade students will line up in front of their classrooms.) Pick up procedures will be followed as described below.
DAILY DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PROCEDURES:
DROP-OFF:
Students may be dropped off at either drop-off zone (Lippert Ave/Fortner Lot or Pontiac Way). Students walking into campus will enter through the gates. Parents are not allowed upstairs in the third grade building as it is very congested with students.
PICK-UP:
3rd grader waiting for 4th or 5th grader(s)
will sit & wait quietly at the blue lunch tables until 4th or 5th grader walks over to pick them up after the upper grade dismissal bell
3rd grader walking home
will exit the gates on Pontiac Way (by room 43 or upper playground basketball court) while parents/guardians will wait behind the gate at the opening on the sidewalk on Pontiac Way. (Please do not block the car pick up line by stepping into the streets or illegally crossing the street. Speed bumps are not crosswalks.)
3rd grader picked up by car
will exit the gates on Pontiac Way and wait for his/her car while lined up along the fence line quietly. No third grade pick up at Lippert until after 4th & 5th grade dismissal (see first bullet point)
4th or 5th grader walking home
will exit the campus based on a route predetermined with his/her parents
4th or 5th grader picked up by car
will walk to either Pontiac Way or Fortner Lot/Lippert Ave and wait for a car while lined up along the fence line quietly
