Good afternoon, Parents!
I am happy to announce the class shared a successful first and second day of school. We went over Patterson Panther school expectations such as in the classroom, Multi-Use room (MUR), and playground. We also toured the playground to familiarize themselves with access to restrooms. There are three, for example.
Today, the class launched their first "prep" experience! They had PE with Coach Harmon! The class seemed to enjoy their time :D Tomorrow, the students will venture into the Computer Lab (CL) with Mrs. Meyer. Then this Friday, the class will end their day also with Mrs. Meyer.
This year's class schedule will be published next Monday. It will include CL, PE, and library.
Tomorrow's goals: After arriving on campus, students will walk to their classroom, unpack their lunch, snack, and/or water bottle. Next, the items will be set along the wall. Then, their backpack will be set on a hook. Finally, they will explore the playground until the bell rings. After the bell rings, students will "freeze" and make like the Statue of Liberty . After a yard duty supervisor blows a whistle, students will line up at spot 8. I will pick them up from there. Let's try it :D
This Friday's goals include logging in to their district gmail account with their scan code, tour their Clever.com account, explore the apps offered on that platform, then MAYBE we will launch Lexia... We shall see :D
Here is a list of school supplies: a pack of no. 2 pencils, a pair scissors, plastic folders, two spiral notebooks (wide-ruled), colored markers, colored pencils, dry erase markers both narrow and wide-tipped, two erasers, glue sticks.
Know I am excited to work with your child. They have demonstrated an eagerness to learn, being helpful towards others, and, most of all, being their best through sharing kindness :D Through their actions and choices the class is exemplifying with overall consistency Panther Pride by being respectful, being responsible, and being safe :D I am proud of them.
Enjoy a blessed rest of your day :D
Blessings,
Ms. Uyehara, M.Ed.
