Message from Kids Against Hunger:
Thank you so much for the opportunity to support your student pack this morning. Your students did an AMAZING job. They exceeded our stretch goal of 28,000 meals and packed an incredible 30,672 meals in under three hours! Many hands truly do make light work, and the joy on the students’ faces was absolutely infectious.
Many teachers and students have asked whether the event photos and video could be shared. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share them with teachers and Warm Springs families.
Thank you again for such a successful and energizing morning. We look forward to returning to pack meals with your Wolves again after we make our rounds with other FUSD schools.

Kids Against Hunger: FINAL days to Make a Difference
We need your help. We are near our goal of packing 28,000 meals for hungry children around the world. Our students are ready and excited to lend a helping hand to pack these individual meal packets. The class that raises the most money in each grade-level will be rewarded with a fun time in the Wolf Den.
We are $600 away from being able to PIE MR. IWATA IN THE FACE. The highest donor will get to pie Mr. Iwata in the face when we reach our fundraising goal.
Our class is currently behind, please help us to win by making a donation of any dollar amount!
Please donate through PayPal HERE or send cash or check (written out to Kids Against Hunger Fremont) to the classroom.
Want to join the kids in packing meals? We are short 9 more volunteers! Sign up HERE.
Warm Springs students will participate in a school-wide service learning event to pack meals for hungry children around the world. We are joining forces with Kids Against Hunger's mission to:
Plant the seed of compassion by learning about the importance of kindness and compassion
Love through action by participating in the meal-packing events
Feed the hungry by distributing packaged meals
The meals will support our local community food banks and around the world.
➤Please support this program through your generous donation. Each meal costs 25 cents, which means every $25 raised will feed 100 children. You may donate in the following ways:
Send check (payable to “Kids Against Hunger Fremont”) or cash with your student to classroom teacher
Warm Springs KAH Paypal page by clicking here. Please write “Warm Springs, Classroom #, and Student Name” in the PayPal comment.

Students are encouraged to do chores around the house to earn additional money for the Kids Against Hunger program. Please look for the Student Chores Chart that was sent home on Tuesday, January 20.

DONATIONS: We would appreciate any donations of tissue boxes and baby wipes, since the weather has gotten super cold! Thank you so much!!:)
Early Pick ups: Please email me and the school office - Ms. Oliva at joliva1@fusdk12.net if you need to pick up your child during the school day in advance for any appointments and be mindful of our schedule. Students are either at recess/ lunch/prep and they may not be in the classroom if you come unannounced. Thank you for your understanding.
Math Quick Quizzes and Unit Test: We will be having quick quizzes after the listed lessons and the unit test after the review pages. We will list them below so that you are aware. This is the date that participating students will turn in the completed story with entry form to the Class Teacher. No late entries will be accepted.
Weekly Reminder: Please remember to sign your child's planner Monday - Thursday (we check everyday). Please sign Wolf Folders weekly and return back to class by every Tuesday the very latest. Please continue to check Parent square and the 'Classroom News' section of our website.

FALL STAMPEDE THIS FRIDAY!
As you know, Fall Stampede is this Friday, November 7th! This is our school's biggest fundraiser of the year and funds directly support fun events, classrooms, and our prep classes/library. Our school has only raised 30% of our goal. We will be significantly underfunded if we do not get closer to our goal.
How can you help?
1. My goal is for EVERY student in the class to at least make an account on mybooster.com . By simply making an account, students will receive a free gift, even without donations.
2. Share your student's mybooster.com link with family and friends. If every student has 9 people donate $10 to your student, then our class will meet our classroom goal.
3. Don't forget about corporate matching! When you donate, there is a spot where you can select corporate matching if your company has this option. This will help us reach our goal faster and will also help your student receive fun prizes.
There are so many fun incentives for students to receive when donating.
1. The PTA has a list of incentives for students to win.
2. The PTA will host a hot chocolate party for the class that receives the most donations.
Please consider doing your part to help our school be the best it can be.
Thank you!!

Reminder: As mentioned during Back-to-School Night, if your child has any questions or concerns, I encourage them to come to me first so we can talk through it together. If more support is needed, I’m always happy to schedule a conference with parents afterward. This helps students build confidence, responsibility, and problem-solving skills. Each week during “Fun Friday,” students may complete brief reflections to think about their week—what went well, what challenges they faced, and how they can grow. It’s a valuable time for them to build self-awareness and independence.
Now that we’ve been in school for almost two months, students are familiar with our classroom routines. They know that mistakes are part of learning, and they’re always given opportunities to make things right. We focus on working through challenges together and finding positive ways forward, by addressing them directly.
Thank you for supporting this approach at home by encouraging your child to communicate openly and take initiative. Together, we’re helping them become confident, independent and capable learners. If you have any questions or would like to check in, please feel free to reach out through Parent Square. We have had some parents reach out to me directly, and I thank these parents for taking the initiative to help your child learn and work through situations that they come across.

Friday, 24th October: NO SCHOOL
Weekly Reminder: Please remember to sign your child's planner Monday - Thursday (we check everyday). Please sign Wolf Folders weekly and return back to class by every Tuesday the very latest. Please continue to check Parent square and the 'Classroom News' section of our website.
Room Parent: We have two very kind parents who are volunteered!! Yay! A letter went home on Thursday in Wolf Folders for donations. Thank you to those who sent in donations. Please continue to send these in with your child.
Parent Conferences in November: If you would like an interpreter for any language for our meeting please email and let me know and let me know as soon as possible please.
