About Mrs. Grant

Hello and welcome! I’m Mrs. Grant, and I’m so excited to be your 6th grade teacher this year!

I’ve been teaching for 11 years, working with students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. My teaching journey has taken me from San Diego to London, England, and now to Fremont, where I’m thrilled to be part of the Horner community.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in History and Literature from UC San Diego, my California teaching credential from Cal State San Marcos, and my master’s degree from the University of London. I also had the amazing opportunity to study Spanish in Alcalá de Henares, Spain.

When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me reading, writing children’s books, hiking, exploring new places, or spending time with my family. I’m also the proud owner of Bandit, a mischievous beagle, who keeps us entertained and definitely keeps us on our toes!

I’m looking forward to a year filled with learning, problem-solving creativity, and plenty of new adventures. I can’t wait to get to know each of you and see all that you accomplish this year.
