🍎 Meet the Teacher

I am Mrs. Alvizo, and I am absolutely thrilled to be your child's first-grade teacher at Patterson Elementary!

My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree from U.C. Santa Cruz and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from San Francisco State University. Over my career, I have had the privilege of teaching, tutoring, and providing academic counseling across a wide range of grade levels from TK all the way to college. This diverse experience shapes how I approach early childhood education, ensuring your student has a solid foundation for their entire academic journey.

Outside of the classroom, education and family are at the heart of my life. I am a proud mom to two boys who are a bit older now—one is currently in college and the other is headed to high school! Watching them grow has given me a deep appreciation for every stage of a child's education. Teaching truly runs in my family, too; my sister is also a K-12 teacher, so we are always sharing creative ideas and a mutual passion for supporting students.
