The Innovation Expo is a platform to celebrate science and engineering.
Mattos Elementary students in grades 1-4 are welcome to present their projects at the annual Innovation Exposition, an alternative to the traditional science fair.
All Mattos Grade 5 students participate in Innovation Expo.
The Innovation Expo is designed to encourage kids’ curiosity about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and how the world around them works, and to turn their ideas into reality.
Students conceive ideas, develop them into projects, and present them to the Mattos community for viewing.
This is a non-competitive event (but projects will be evaluated and feedback given). It is an opportunity for students to share their discoveries of the world and universe around them.
Students choose from one of seven categories:
Things
Reverse Engineering and Invention
For Grade 1-4 students interested in participating, registration for the event must be submitted by
Friday, February 16th.
Projects must be submitted by Friday, April 19th (Science Fiction participants earlier).
Projects will be displayed to the Mattos Community on Monday, April 29th.
