Science Curriculum for Grade 3 (Amplify)

 Third grade students have  NGSS based curriculum this year (Amplify). 

They will be doing a combination of experiments and lessons.

  March, 2026 - June, 2026

Third Graders have completed the unit on "Balancing Forces",  "Traits and Variations" &“Environments and Survival Unit”  ;

  Final Unit is “Weather And Climate Unit”

Chapter 1: Which island’s weather would be best for orangutans?

Chapter 2: Which island’s weather will continue to be best for orangutans?

Chapter 3: Over many years, which island’s weather will be best for orangutans?

 Second grade students have NGSS based curriculum this year (Amplify).  

They will be doing a combination of experiments and lessons.

Second Graders have completed the unit on “Properties of Materials” & “Plants and Animal Relationships”

The Final unit is “Changing Landforms”

Chapter 1: How did the edge of the cliff get to be so close to the flagpole?

Chapter 2: How did the recreation center’s cliff change?

Chapter 3: How did the recreation center’s cliff erode without the director noticing?

Chapter 4: Could the recreation center’s cliff erode quickly?

Chapter 3: Why did daytime change to nighttime while Sai talked on the phone?

Chapter 4: What will Sai see in the sky when he calls his grandma tomorrow?
