6th Grade Math Science
Welcome to my Homepage! I have been teaching at Walters Middle School for 6 years. I have also taught at Brier Elementary since 1999. I am a Fremont resident and a Bay Area native(I grew up in Newark). I have one child going to John F. Kennedy as a freshman. My other adult child is going to Ohlone. I have two dogs, three cats and four snakes. I race in half marathons on most Saturdays. I am active in my church. I like to crochet and cook. I enjoy going to Bay FC matches and hockey games.
I attended Ohlone and received my AA. I transferred to San Jose State University and received a double major in English and Liberal Studies. I have had trainings in GATE, Masonic Training, PLC, GLAD, and SVMI. I have taught grades First through Sixth. I have also done a lot of substituting prior to being a full time teacher.
My hope for all of my students is to feel safe and free to ask for help. I truly want your child to be eager and excited to learn math and science. This is a new adventure in Middle School with multiple teachers and subjects. It is important that your child communicates with me their needs so I can help them. I am proud of Walters, and I hope your child will show their Warrior's Pride.
Everyday is a great day to learn something new. Everyday is a great day to do something kind. Everyday is a great day to make mistakes and try better. Everyday is great because of your child! May this year be the one where your child will shine because of their wonder, care, and excitement.
