ATHLETICS REGISTRATION FOR 24-25

1) 2024-25 Athletic Calendar

• Fall (First Official Day: Monday, August 12th)

  • Signature Forms/$100 Donations Collected on Friday August 9th in Room 116 by the Swimming Pool 12:00-2:00 P.M.

  • Competitive Cheer, Cross-Country, Football, Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball, Boys and Girls Water Polo

• Winter (First Official Day: Monday, November 4th)

  • Signature Forms/$100 Donations Collected on October 30,October 31,and November 1st in the Main Gym at Lunch 

  • Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Wrestling

• Spring (First Official Day: Monday, February 10th)

  • Signature Forms/$100 Donations Collected on February 5,6,7 in the Main Gym at Lunch 

  • Badminton, Baseball, Boys Golf, Softball, Boys and Girls Swimming, Boys Tennis, Boys and Girls Track & Field, Boys Volleyball

2) Home Campus - Online Registration (For more on this click on the Athletic Registration tab above)

• All students interested in trying out for a sport must register on the Home Campus page by no later than the Friday prior to the first official day of each season. This needs to be done for each sport you want to try out for. In order to be cleared, you must upload a current physical signed by a doctor (physicals are good for one year) onto the Home Campus website.

• What does it mean?

  • Cleared- Your registration is completed along with your updated physical uploaded onto your registration. You are cleared for participation. Once cleared, all athletes must turn in their signature page and donation directly to the Athletic Director prior to trying out for a sport.

  • Not Cleared - Your registration is incomplete and you may not participate until it has been Approved. You need to fix an issue with your registration, so search your email for a message from Home Campus that will tell you what you need to fix

  • No Status - Your registration has not been reviewed yet. We will get to it as soon as possible.

• Home Campus Athletic Registration must be completed in full by: 

  • Fall Sports due by Friday, August 9th at 8 pm 

  • Winter Sports due by Friday, November 1st at 8 pm 

  • Spring Sports due by Friday, February 7th at 8 pm 

4) Academic Eligibility (for more on this, please scroll over the General Info tab to see the drop down for Academic Eligibility)

• Your eligibility is determined by your grades from the last grading period (i.e. quarter or semester, whichever was the most recent one)

• Grades that are posted on online gradebooks are unofficial grades and cannot be used for determining eligibility. 

• To remain academically eligible for athletics, you need a 2.0 GPA or better with NO F's or Incomplete grades. 

• Coaches will receive an eligibility list from the Athletic Department

• An Athlete may be cleared to participate on Home Campus which allows an athlete to try-out, but in order to compete Athletes must be academically eligible.

5) Important Notes

• The Athletic Department is asking for a $100 donation for each sport that a student participates in. This helps with the expenses such as  officials fees, league, section, and state membership dues, and other miscellaneous costs.  These donations are tax deductible, but non-refundable.

• Please include your donation with your Home Campus Signature Page 

If you choose to write a check, you can make them out to "Irvington High School Athletics". Please make sure your student's name is in the memo line along with the sport they try out for

• Students will only be allowed to try out for ONE sport per season, so please do not register for more than one as none of the registrations will be approved. 

• Tryout check in times for each season will be developed with the coaches and posted on the Athletics website by the Friday prior to the first official day. Please make sure you check that spreadsheet. For more sport specific detail, please contact the coach of that sport. 

• Practice times will be determined by the coach and communicated to team members.

• If you are an athlete currently in season, you must finish your current sport's season before trying out for the next season's sport. Contact the coach of the next season you wish to try out for and let them know when your season will end so that a tryout can be arranged on the first day after the completion of your current season.
