The purpose of the FUSD Teacher Induction Program is to offer teachers who hold a Preliminary Multiple Subjects, Preliminary Single Subject, or Preliminary Education Specialist Credential the opportunity to fulfill the requirements for the California Clear Credential. Individualized support and assistance is provided to new teachers through the services of a knowledgeable Mentor. The goal of this support is to improve the educational performance of students and to enable the new teacher to be effective in teaching students who are culturally, linguistically, socio-economically, and academically diverse. FUSD Teacher Induction is dedicated to helping new teachers improve their craft and establish a commitment to continuous self-improvement.
