About Ms. Baird

Hello! I am one of the Assistant Principals at Walters Middle School in FUSD. This is my eleventh year in education and seventh year at Walters. I was a 6th-grade math and science teacher for the first five years, and this will be my second year as an assistant principal. I am incredibly excited to continue my involvement with the WMS community!

I look forward to a new school year filled with fun memories and the continued building of long-lasting relationships with students and families.

Past Teaching Experience

Before joining FUSD, I spent three years teaching 5th grade in San Jose Unified, where I had the privilege of working with an incredible teaching partner who is still one of my best friends!

Growing Up in Fremont

I am a product of FUSD as well! I went to Gomes, Hopkins and Mission San Jose High School.

New Additions to the Family!

My brother and I both adopted sibling puppies this summer from a shelter down in LA! I adopted the sister and named her Daisy. My older brother adopted the brother and named him Huck.

Education

I graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a major in History and minors in English and Education. I continued my education at UC Davis, earning my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Master of Education. Last year, I attended Cal State East Bay, where I earned my Preliminary Administrative Services Credential.
