I'm very excited to be at Patterson teaching Kindergarten. I have been teaching for over 15 years in both private and public sectors. We have an amazing Kindergarten team and will work together in building a strong community. Let's Go Panthers!
Our school website is a great place to stay connected! You'll find lots of helpful information, important updates, and details about upcoming events. We encourage you to check it regulary so you don't miss out on any of the exciting things happening at our school!
In Kindergarten, we want to help our students grow into confident, independent learners-both in the classroom and in their daily routines. Being able to open and close theit backpack, take jackets on and off, tie their shoes, and access lunch or snack items on their own is an importnat part of that growth. These skills not only save time during our busy day, but also build confidence, fine motor strength, and sense of responsibility. We encourage families to practice these tasks at home so children feel successful and ready to shine at school!
Your child should bring an easy to open light snack to school everyday. NO SNACKS WITH NUTS. We have students that are very allergic and we need to help keep everyone safe. This also includes peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. Your child may bring a lunch to school or obtain a free school lunch. Please let me know each morning if your student is getting Regular or Veggie lunch. See Schedule
Your child should bring a large backpack and water bottle to school everyday. Please write your child's name on backpack and all personal belongings.
For the safety of all our students it's important that each child knows and can recognize who is picking them up at the end of the day. This helps ensure a smooth dismissal process and gives children confidence and comfort when leaving school. We kindly ask families to talk with their child each morning about who will be picking them up, and let us know right away if there are any changes. Together, we can make sure every student leaves school safely.
Parents/guardians are responsible for picking-up students up at dismissal times every school day. The office staff does not provide child care after school.
Please contact these organizations directly if you need to make after-school arrangements.
