Dear Coco,
The people at this school are so annoying. They’re loud, obnoxious, and generally just drive me insane. I can’t focus on doing my work because I’m annoyed and all of my friends are getting tired of hearing me complain about my peers. What do I do?

Dear Frustrated,
Unfortunately, as much as I’d like to, I can’t make anyone disappear and solve your problem instantly. The hard part about this is that people like this won’t ever go away and you’re going to have to deal with them somehow.
I have several options for you. The first is to just continue being annoyed and just don’t talk about it to your friends. Sure, this probably isn’t the best option, but it is easier than the other ones. If it's someone specific that you’re annoyed at, you could tell them what they’re doing that annoys you so much and ask for them to stop. This can be difficult because if the issue is brought up in the wrong way or at the wrong time, it could exacerbate the issue and create more tension between the two of you, and doing this could also be intimidating. My favorite option will work for annoyance with a singular person or multiple: simply ignore them. Imagine a truly happy person. Do you think that they let the people around them negatively influence them? They don’t, and that’s the reason why they are so happy. This is difficult, but I’ve found that not taking everything so seriously and just rolling with the punches is the best way to live.
Hope this helps,
Coco
