For centuries, the José Ignacio area was an isolated coastal enclave, but over the last 20 years, it has transformed into an exclusive artistic resort. José Ignacio, the first Spanish settler in the region, was a fisherman, and the town is named in his honor.
The name "Mansa," meaning "calm" in English, perfectly describes the serene and peaceful atmosphere you’ll find here. Over the years, it has become the exclusive resort it is today, attracting celebrities and notable personalities. Alongside this transformation, the area has seen the arrival of refined dining venues and, in the last two decades, art galleries that showcase works from both contemporary and historical artists of Uruguay and the region. This tranquil and remote corner of Uruguay offers the world a glimpse of its artistic heritage.
Day 6 - Bodega Garzón

The team consists of experts in viticulture, environmental sustainability, gastronomy, hospitality, and tourism, all committed to this unique project.
The 19,050 m² building, with a capacity for 2.2 million liters, is the first sustainable winery outside of North America to have LEED certification, covering the entire facility.
