Computational physics is the study of scientific problems using computational methods; it combines computer science, physics and applied mathematics to develop scientific solutions to complex problems. Computational physics complements the areas of theory and experimentation in traditional scientific investigation. In itself it will not give any insight into a problem (after all, a computer is only as intelligent as its user), but it will enable you to attack problems which otherwise might not be solvable.
The objective of this class is to introduce computational physics to students using hands-on teaching methods. The course is a blended learning one. which involves both on-line and physical interactions in class. It includes a practical session that is compulsory for all.
