Dr. Ben ANYANWU is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta. He is a native of Asaba in Delta State, Nigeria. He holds a B.Eng Degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria; a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Option in Materials Technology) from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria and a Ph.D. Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Option in Materials Technology) from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria.

He is a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a Corporate Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE). He is also a Professional Member of the Materials Science and Technology Society of Nigeria (MMSN) and International Association of Engineers (MIAE), among others.

Engr. Ben Anyanwu was among the team of Engineers for Sykes EnergiProjekts Ltd, Ikeja, Lagos, that designed and constructed the 264,000 m³ Capacity Oil Depot for Masters Energy Ltd, Akar Base, Portharcourt; 63,000 m³ Capacity Oil Depot for Ibafon Oil, Epz Free Trade Zone, Calabar and the 63,000 m³ Capacity Oil Depot for Matrix Energy, Ubeji, Warri. He joined the services of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, in July 2010.

He has more than twenty five (25) research outputs in learned journals internationally. His research interests are in the area of mechanics of non-metallic and metallic materials. It focuses on enhancement or improvement of materials employed in construction / structural and automobile applications, ceramic and glass technology. Minor areas of his interest are in cutting fluids formulations and machining, lubrication oils for friction and wear reduction in machine parts, briquette production etc.
