Students in this course will be introduced to cooking and baking techniques. Through hands-on food lab experiences, not only will students make things such as soups, casseroles and baked goods, they will learn basic cooking skills in preparation for independent living. This course emphasizes utilizing ingredients that are in season and cooking traditional holiday dishes and comfort foods.
