This course spans the adolescent years to the elder years. Topics covered include but are not limited to: identity formation, impact of media and technology on adolescents, challenges impacting families, developing and maintaining relationships, and life transitions. Students will gain the knowledge and skills to navigate challenges using effective communication techniques while keeping their health and wellness a priority.

Students will identify physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of adolescents.
Students will analyze self in relation to factors including but not limited to: needs, wants, emotions, strengths, weaknesses, and values.
Students will explore opportunities and strategies for developing and maintaining relationships during adulthood.
Quarter 4
Student will analyze how traditions and social norms contribute to healthy adult relationships.
Students will describe the effects that careers may have on an individual's lifestyle during adulthood.
Students will explore the influence of physical, mental, social, and emotional health on lifestyle during the elder years.
Students will analyze trends and factors related to life expectancy including: gender, ethnicity, lifestyle, and location.
