Ceramics 1 is an introductory course in the use of a classic art medium, clay. This course teaches fundamental 7 hand building techniques, the vocabulary, and a basic knowledge base of ceramics skill sets. Students will learn the firing, recycling process and the history behind the classic medium as well and apply their knowledge to create personal pieces.
