"And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake [it], and gave unto them, saying, This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me."..."After the same manner also [He took] the cup, when He had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of Me." (Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:25 KJV)
Every 1st Sunday of each month, we observe HOLY COMMUNION. This is our humble effort in keeping with our Lord's teachings quoted above.
While we identify the bread and cup as His body and blood, we understand these are symbolic of His sacrifice for our sins by death on the cross.
We also recognize that the grave could not hold Him down "whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it." Act 2:24 NKJV therefore we also celebrate His resurrection with a fellowship pot-blessing after service.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have [it] more abundantly." John 10:10 NKJV
We ask CH_ _CH famILY to please bring a dish to share as we celebrate His victory, and thank Him for birthdays and anniversaries in the new month.
