Fall 2020 "Should You Plant a Church?" Cohort

No one should plant a church without a clear call from God. So how do you know if you're called? Welcome to the "Should You Plant a Church?" cohort from the Church Planting Initiative at Fuller Theological Seminary. This small cohort meets online each week for 5 weeks, with online learning content from FULLER Formation.

Your cohort includes:

Mutual Learning

You'll share your church planting journey with the cohort using Slack, an online forum.

Interactive Content

You'll read, watch videos, and interact with online content from FULLER Formation.

Expert Facilitation

Your weekly videoconference calls will be facilitated by veteran church planter Len Tang.

Using online content from Fuller's new online learning platform, Fuller Formation, this 5-week cohort will help you discern whether God has called, gifted, and equipped you to plant a church and to discover your next practical steps on the journey. Together we'll cover four key questions:

    1. Am I experiencing holy discontent?

    2. How do I develop a God-honoring vision?

    3. Has God wired and gifted me to start a church?

    4. What's my next faithful step?

Your Facilitator

Len Tang is the director of the Church Planting Initiative at Fuller Theological Seminary and has planted churches in Portland, Oregon and Pasadena, California as an ordained Presbyterian pastor.
