Resources for the Journey

A number of resources are important for the success of your journey through the doctoral project phase. Each item linked below will either help with the writing of your project or help with navigating your way toward the completion of the degree. This resource provides all the steps and information you should need to successfully complete the doctoral project for a 4 Year Cohort. Keep this handbook readily available as you will need to refer to it throughout this phase of your degree.

The DMin Style and Format Guide has (almost) all the information you'll need to properly format your project. It is based on Kate Turabian's Manual for Writers and includes numerous formatting examples from previous projects to help in formatting your own. Students should adhere to the contents of this guide and conform their papers to what is contained there. Whenever there is a question about a style or format issue, the DMin Style and Format Guide should be consulted first.

In addition to the DMin Style and Format Guide, another essential writing resource is Kate Turabian’s A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations, 8th Edition. This is the standard style guide for the School of Theology at Fuller, and it has tons of info about writing, research, and formatting. For issues not addressed in the DMin Style & Format Guide, please consult Turabian. If you note a discrepancy between Turabian and the DMin Style and Format Guide, follow the DMin guidelines.
