My research interests lie at the intersection of cutting-edge quantitative methods and pressing environmental issues. Leveraging techniques like traditional statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and hydrological modeling, I study optimizing Ecological Niche Models for use in stream network by extracting spatially explicit and continuous geomorphological stream variables from remotely sensed digital elevation models. This approach not only enhances our understanding of stream habitats but also provide geomorphological relevant variables for species distribution models that tackle crucial questions regarding climate change impacts on species resilience, invasive species' effects on natives, and the geospatial forces steering species distributions. Furthermore, I am interested in optimizing ecological niche models within hierarchical stream networks, unlocking insights into the dynamic interactions between invasive predators species and native species in the context of changing climate.
