OUR STORY — 枯山水から生まれた和菓子
Inspired by “Karesansui”, the Japanese Zen Garden
True beauty is born not from addition, but from restraint.
FUKURA finds its inspiration in Karesansui — a garden that evokes the flow of water without using it.
Within silence and simplicity, we discover harmony.
As ripples form upon white sand, as stones speak of mountains,
We honor the natural voice of every ingredient.
Today’s wagashi celebrate design, color, and wellness.
They are beautiful in their own way.
Yet we ask:
Must we use preservatives to preserve flavor?
Does “natural” always mean kind to the body?
Is beauty defined by ornamentation?
We believe the truest answer lies in
honesty with the ingredients themselves.
In this age of advanced technology, we return to our roots.
Technology has made design effortless.
Yet perfection alone does not move the heart.
We find meaning in a single red bean, in the stillness between textures, in a fleeting fragrance that disappears as quietly as it arrives.
Because we live in an age of progress,
We can now unite physical purity with the authenticity of craft.
We value not beauty for decoration,
but the natural grace inherent in each ingredient.
Without antioxidants or preservatives, we embrace the living vitality of every element we use.
It is not efficient
Yet it is essential to truly nurture both body and mind.
Like a Karesansui garden, FUKURA continues to ask:
What is refinement? What is purity?
Each of our creations is a quiet dialogue between nature and craft,
designed to bring calm, clarity, and balance
to both the body and the soul.
