Course Overview

General Information

You are enrolled in an online program called Edgenuity. This program will provide all of your courses and assignments for the school year, with the exception of PE. There are 4 courses to complete: ELA, Math, History, and Science, and your chosen elective. PE will be a separately scheduled program with a daily requirement of 40 minutes.

Monday through Friday  you will be required to login to Edgenuity and complete your daily assignments. PE is also scheduled and mandated at 40 minutes each day. 

**It will be critical for you to monitor your targets and goals so that you do not fall behind in your assignments. You may work ahead in Edgenuity to ensure timely completion of assignments. 

I will also monitor your progress and contact you each week regarding your learning path. If you are not progressing, your parents will be notified, and a meeting will be held.

Each morning we will begin with a Team Morning Meeting, so be ready to start promptly at 8.30. You will join the Google Meet through Google Classroom. The link to the Meet will be visible in the top left corner of my Google Classroom page a few minutes before the scheduled time.

*Always have a tab open with Google Classroom every day and refresh the page often for updated announcements, etc., during the school day. 

Team Rules

• Be on time for class learning blocks

• Meet assignment targets/deadlines

• Be respectful of time, especially when working with groups or partners

• Make sure your devices are charged and any needed supplies are ready to go

• Practice kindness and good listening skills

• Stay focused on the learning task

• Raise your hand to ask questions. (Please ask questions whenever you need.  If you have a question, there are more who do as well but are afraid to ask.)

• Participate and be mentally present in class

• Join Google Meet with the mic off (mute) 

• Enable mic/camera access at all times
