Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!

About Me: Hello I am Mrs. Alvarez, Mrs. A, is what the kids call me. This is my second year of teaching and first year with FUESD and at WHF. I grew up with three siblings with Intellectual Disabilities so I have a lot of personal experience, as well as professional experience in my field of study. I graduated from National University with a Mild/Moderate Teaching Credential and Walden University with a Masters in Psychology. During the time of working on my credential and until my youngest daughter was school age I operated and owned my own preschool/daycare licensed business for six years where I focused on serving students with disabilities. In my free time I run, and enjoy spending time with my husband and family, including our seven kids, and dog.

My goal is to ensure your children feel safe while making learning fun to meet their academic and social needs. In our classroom we focus on fostering a positive safe fun learning environment with small group, whole group, and independent/guided instruction.
