Welcome to my class!
Hi parents! I’m Mrs. Ryan and I am so excited to be your child’s 2nd grade teacher this year. This will be my third year teaching at Fallbrook STEM Academy and my third time teaching second grade. This is one of my favorite grades to teach because there is so much growth, learning and fun! We are going to navigate learning together and make it a productive and memorable year for all.

Este será mi segundo año enseñando en Fallbrook STEM Academy y mi segunda vez enseñando segundo grado. In our classroom, we believe in positive behavior management. I will be awarding students “dots” on a chart when they follow school rules, are kind to others and take academic risks in the classroom. Once they earn 10 dots, they get a prize or a quality time reward. We will also have a whole class reward through the game of Teacher vs. Students. I will keep tallies each day. If the students as a whole are on task, participating and ready to learn, they get a tally mark. If they are not, then I will get one. At the end of the week if the class wins they will earn a reward.

Each month I will be sending out a newsletter via email with updates on what we are learning and big events at school. Please let me know if you prefer a hard copy and I can get that to you. Also, feel free to call, text or email at any time. Communication is very important to me and I can’t wait to get to know you and your student.
