If your student athlete fails to pay for the jersey or return the jersey WASHED in timely fashion, the student athlete will be on the “DO NOT PARTICIPATE” List with the school. Where do I pick up my student athlete for the away games?
As long as the student athlete has turned in their AWAY SLIP to the Front Office, the student will get to leave at 2:30 p.m. from school. They are directed to the back gate of the school where the gym is so that they can be picked up. Please do not pick up your student near the front of the school or across the street. This endangers your child and breaks the James E. Potter Jr. High School rules. This only applies to games being played on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday.
On Wednesday’s, the student athlete DOES NOT need an Away Slip because they get out early at 2:15 p.m. from school.
Does the school have transportation for my student athlete to the away games and from practice?
During this time of development for our program, NO. You will need to coordinate with your student athlete and parents from the team to organize carpools to the away games. In regards to practice, please pick up your student athlete in a timely manner when their practice ends or remind them of bus times so that they can make it back home safe and sound.
How can my student make the team?
Making the team DOES NOT start during tryouts. It starts in the summer or one year’s time before the sport begins. The student athlete needs to be active and consistent throughout the offseason to have a chance to make the team. Along with good preparation, the student athlete
