Welcome to my class! Bienvenido a mi clase!
Hello! My name is Larry Hilsabeck, and I will be your child’s teacher this year! I’d like to take this opportunity to let you know a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Corona, California. I graduated from Centennial High School with a 4.3 G.P.A. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The University of Redlands, and a Master’s Degree in Education from National University. I have been a teacher for 23 years. I have taught grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. I often tell people that I have the greatest job in the world. I love working with kids and helping them to become the best person that they can possibly be! If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me by phone, email, or simply stop by the classroom after school.
¡Hola! ¡Mi nombre es Larry Hilsabeck y seré el maestro de su hijo este año! Me gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para contarles un poco sobre mí. Nací y crecí en Corona, California. Me gradué de Centennial High School con un G.P.A. de 4.3. Obtuve una Licenciatura en Psicología de la Universidad de Redlands y una Maestría en Educación de la Universidad Nacional. Always put forth your very best effort.
Encourage and support your classmates. (We're a TEAM!)
Never be afraid to ask me questions, or let me know if you're having difficulty understanding a lesson.
Set goals for yourself, and put in the work necessary to achieve your goals.
Stay positive, and never give up on yourself. You are capable of doing GREAT things. We all make mistakes, and that's how we learn. You may struggle with some things during the year. That doesn't mean you can't do it. It simply means you aren't able to do it YET. What is important is that you keep trying and stay positive. The most successful people in the world have had many failures along the way
Follow the 8 Habits: (1) Be Proactive, (2) Begin With The End In Mind, (3) Put First Things First, (4) Think Win-Win, (5) Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood, (6) Synergize, (7) Sharpen the Saw, (8) Find Your Voice

Nunca tengas miedo de hacerme preguntas o avisarme si tienes dificultades para entender una lección.

Mantente positivo y nunca te rindas. Eres capaz de hacer GRANDES cosas. Todos cometemos errores, y así es como aprendemos. Es posible que tenga dificultades con algunas cosas durante el año. Eso no significa que no puedas hacerlo. Simplemente significa que aún no puedes hacerlo. Lo importante es que sigas intentándolo y mantengas una actitud positiva.
