Welcome to my class!

Hi, I'm Mr. Porter! I am happy to say I will be your students' homeroom teacher this year. Our 6th grade team also consists of Ms. Horning and Ms. Olson, who will also be assisting in your child's education. In years past, this model has proved to an effective way to prepare your students for Junior High/Middle School. We are so excited to meet you child, at the Meet and Greet and then in class soon. A little personal information about me; I grew up in North County San Diego most of my life and currently live in Fallbrook. I am a huge sports person and I almost played at a professional level in my past. My team and I promise to always have your child's best interest in mind as we would our own children. We will push them to be the best version of themselves and to never give up no matter what the odds. Buckle up and get ready for a wild and fun year!!!!

Students will be held accountable for coming to school on time and completing their work.  Attendance will be taken first thing in the morning and if you happen to be late, please see our attendance clerk before going to class. Students will be graded on work they turn in.  Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately and is prepared to give their best effort.  Classroom norms and expectations will be further explained at Back to School Night on Thursday, August 25th.
