№2. Учитель дает следующее задание: на основе изображения или вещи составить сообщение о традиции, связанной с этим предметом: «The next competition is about Christmas traditions. I’ll show you the thing and you need to tell about a tradition connected with this thing. You have 1 minute to think. Make as many sentences as possible».

№3. Учитель предлагает продолжить рассказ: «Write the end of the story».

Both teams get the same beginning of the story. You need to continue it.

It was the 31st of December. The weather was fine. Everybody was preparing for the New year's Day... .

Write, what the members of the family were doing, what happened …

Дети пишут рассказ.

№4. Учитель дает задание – раскрасить и подписать заготовку праздничной открытки: «Our next competition is called “The best congratulation”. Imagine that you have to send a Christmas card to your friend. What would you wish him/her? Please, colour your Christmas card and write your greetings».

Учитель просит поздравить команду соперников и подарить им открытку: «Please congratulate your friends from another team and give them a card».

Ученики раскрашивают и подписывают открытку и дарят команде – сопернику.

№5. Учитель с учениками подсчитывают баллы и объявляют победителя: «Let’s count your points and congratulate the winners!».

(2 минуты)

№6. Учитель предлагает угадать знакомую мелодию и определить, что за песня спрятана за мелодией: «Now we are going to check if you know Christmas and New Year songs well. The next task is “Guess the song”. You’ll hear the music without words, you need to sing or just say one-two lines from this song.

Дети угадывают песню, затем поют ее вместе с видео за бегущей строкой.

№7. Учитель заканчивает урок и прощается с детьми: «That'll do for today. You’ve been very active. Well done! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!».
